Dadanasta’da, Welcome!

ABOUT US

The Tsuut'ina Health & Wellness Services were granted a traditional name on June 18th, 2024. The meaning behind the word "Diganádàts'idinìdałí" supports the new direction of the Tsuut'ina Health & Wellness Services of operating in a proactive and preventative framework to address the historical and intergenerational trauma to help individuals from a client-centred approach to regain their identity through a hybrid model of western and cultural practices. Previously known as the Health Centre and Healthy Living Program, all programs have combined under the structure now known as Tsuut’ina Health and Wellness Services.

Indigenous Mental Health

"The topic of mental health continues to be a topic that is either misunderstood or not mentioned within Indigenous communities. With this video, the Tsuut’ina Healthy Living Program hopes to provide words of encouragement from individuals from Tsuut’ina who have openly allowed themselves to be vulnerable, share their perspective of what mental health is, challenges Indigenous people experience, and words of hope for others to reach out for support to know they are not alone”.
